John Beatty

Head of Strategy at Oncue

John Beatty is currently the Head of Strategy at Oncue. Prior to that, they were the Head of Logistics at Amazon from August 2018 to January 2022. John was also a student at the MIT Sloan School of Management from August 2016 to June 2018, where they launched the Community Finance Challenge. The Challenge is a first-of-its-kind MBA case competition open to students from all 700+ MBA programs in the US focused on using fintech and digital innovation to improve local small business lending. 62 teams from 28 different schools competed for $14,000 in prize money from Deutsche Bank, CDC Small Business Finance, LISC, OFN, and Advantage Capital Partners. Beatty was awarded the Martin Trust Award for Outstanding Leadership for the success of the Challenge, both for its scale and for its success in bringing in a diverse set of MBA competitors.

John Beatty did their undergraduate studies at Harvard University, where they earned an honors degree in economics and Earth and planetary science in 2011. John then went on to get their MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

They work with Matt Cluney - VP, Marketing, Matt Witzke - Head of Booking Platform, and Zuly Bonilla - People Operations Manager. Their manager is Kate DeWald, CEO.
