Sivabalan Narayanan

Sivabalan Narayanan has worked in a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2009. Sivabalan began their career at Oracle, where they were a Member Technical Staff, responsible for automation in User Directory Services, LDAP related modules and webservice framework, as well as developing a client side automation framework for Fusion Service, CRM Application. In 2013, they interned at Ayasdi, where they designed and developed a scalable, distributed and shared memory layer, localized the data partitions to where the underlying data partition resides on disk, and implemented a caching layer to amortize the cost of accessing data points over network from remote machine's memory. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Graduate Research Assistant, Graduate Student, and Teaching Assistant at UC Santa Barbara. In 2018, they joined Uber as a Senior Software Engineer. Most recently, they have been an Apache Hudi PMC since 2019 and a Software Engineer at Onehouse since 2021.

Sivabalan Narayanan completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science from PSG College of Technology between 2005 and 2009. Sivabalan then went on to earn a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara between 2012 and 2014.
