Casey McDougall has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Student Managing Editor for the Red Cedar Undergraduate Research Journal, and from 2016 to 2017, they were an Editorial Staff and Copyeditor for The Offbeat. In 2015, they were an Editorial Staff and Social Media Manager for ing Magazine. In 2016, they were a Digital Media Intern for the Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and American Culture at MSU, and from 2015 to 2016, they were a Resident Assistant at Michigan State University. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Freelance Editor and Content Creator, and from 2019 to 2022, they were a Freelance Copywriter for Croud. Currently, they are an SEO Content Marketing Project Manager for Oneupweb, where they craft compelling, optimized, quality content for a wide variety of clients, proofing content for spelling, grammar, tone, voice, and clarity, and ensuring content adheres to brand standards while consistently maintaining SEO best practices.

Casey McDougall obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Professional, Technical, Business, and Scientific Writing from Michigan State University in 2018. In September 2022, Casey obtained a Google Analytics Certification from Skillshop.
