Amitava Banerjee

Amitava Banerjee is a distinguished cardiologist and academic currently serving as the National Specialty Lead for Cardiovascular at NIHR and a Consultant Cardiologist at OneWelbeck. With a significant academic role as a Professor of Clinical Data Science at UCL, Amitava also holds positions as a Senior Advisor to the Salim Yusuf Emerging Leaders Programme at the World Heart Federation and an Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at Barts Health NHS Trust. Amitava's extensive experience includes prior roles at University College London as a Clinical Associate Professor and at the University of Birmingham as an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Cardiovascular Medicine. Amitava completed a DPhil in Cardiovascular Epidemiology at the University of Oxford, further enhancing a robust background in both clinical practice and research in cardiovascular health.
