Miguel Teixeira

Miguel Teixeira began their work experience in 2008 as a Software Engineering Consultant at PrimeIT, where they worked as an IT consultant doing full-stack development using ASP.NET, SOAP, and Javascript. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Software Engineer at monday interactive marketing, developing websites for clients and optimizing the in-house CMS solution using PHP, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

In 2010, Miguel co-founded Gnomeslab, a company focused on developing a new version of a Portuguese company's digital signage product using Ruby and Test Driven Development methodologies. Miguel served as a Partner and utilized their expertise in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.

From 2011 to 2015, Miguel worked as a Software Engineer at SAPO, where they primarily focused on the MEO Wallet project. Miguel analyzed and developed new features for the API, utilizing technologies such as REST, Continuous Integration, PHP, and Javascript.

Following that, they joined Caixa Mágica Software in 2011 as a Software Engineer until 2015, contributing to various projects.

In 2015, Miguel joined Seedrs as a Software Engineer and played a crucial role in the redesign of the sign-up journey to enhance investor numbers. Miguel also integrated an online identity verification tool and actively participated in internal improvements like code refactoring, unit/integration tests, and continuous deployment processes.

From 2017 to 2021, they worked at Talkdesk as a Software Engineer, where they contributed to the development and maintenance of Talkdesk's software products.

Currently, Miguel is employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Onfido, starting in 2021.

Miguel Teixeira pursued their higher education at the Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a Licenciatura degree. In 2013, they also completed a course in MongoDB for Node.js Developers at MongoDB University.
