Stefan Balint

Stefan Balint is a Senior Application Development Scientist at ONI, where responsibilities include the development of high-end microscopy kits since June 2022. Prior to this role, Stefan served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology from January 2017 to May 2022, leading an R&D project under Prof. Michael L. Stefan's earlier experience includes a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the MCCIR-Manchester Collaborative Center for Inflammation Research at the University of Manchester, where collaboration with Prof. Daniel M took place from September 2013 to December 2016. Stefan also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ICFO - Institute of Photonic Sciences from September 2010 to August 2013, focusing on a project with Prof. Melike Lakadamyali to develop a correlative imaging method. Stefan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biophysics from the University of Pavol Jozef Safarik, Kosice, obtained in 2010.
