Simon Ashworth

Simon Ashworth is a seasoned professional in pharmacovigilance and medical safety, currently serving as the Head of Pharmacovigilance and Medical Safety at ONO PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD. since August 2021. Prior to this role, Simon held various leadership positions at Autolus Ltd. as VP, Head Safety and Pharmacovigilance, and at Takeda, where responsibilities included VP EU QPPV and compliance oversight. Simon's extensive experience spans roles at GlaxoSmithKline, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Eisai, GW Pharmaceuticals, and BUPA Cromwell Hospital, where expertise in safety risk management and hematology/oncology medicine was developed. Educational qualifications include an MBBS in Medicine from the University of London and a BSc in Psychology from University College London.
