Shraddha Pai

Shraddha Pai is a Principal Investigator at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research since January 2021 and serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto since June 2021. Previously, Shraddha was a Postdoctoral Fellow focused on Data Integration and AI in Precision Medicine at the University of Toronto from January 2015 to January 2021, where work as project lead included "netDx," an initiative in interpretable machine learning. Prior experience includes serving as a NARSAD Young Investigator and Affiliate Scientist at CAMH, where Shraddha co-led a genome-wide DNA methylation study in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Earlier roles at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory as a PhD candidate involved research in systems neuroscience, including a thesis on neuroanatomical localization related to auditory memory. Shraddha holds a PhD in Systems Neuroscience from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Bioinformatics from the University of Waterloo.
