Jennifer Jordan has a diverse work experience. Jennifer started working at the Peel District School Board in 2001 as a Computer Secretary in the Continuing Education department, and remained there until September 2011. In 2009, they began working at the YMCA of Greater Toronto as an Intern Data Coordinator for the Youth Eco Internship Program, and later became a National Liaison. Finally, in 2011 they joined The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society as an Associate Director of Human Resources and Administration.

Jennifer Jordan earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Labour Studies from McMaster University in the years 2001 to 2005. Jennifer went on to pursue a Master's degree in Work and Society at McMaster University, graduating in 2008. In 2010 to 2012, Jennifer attended Humber College and completed a Postgraduate Degree in Human Resources Management and Services.

In 2017 to 2019, Jennifer furthered their education at Dalhousie University, obtaining a Certificate in Disability Management. Jennifer has also obtained several additional certifications, including True Colours Training Facilitator from True Colors International in June 2019, Workshop on Sexual Harassment and Incident Response from Hicks Morley in April 2019, 8 Weeks to a Better Place to Work Program from Deborah Connors in December 2018, and Mental Health First Aid Certification from the Mental Health Commission of Canada in October 2018. Jennifer also holds Joint Health and Safety Certification part 1 and 2 from OSG, obtained in November 2013, and a Positive Change - Leader as Coach Certificate from Adler Graduate Professional School, obtained in April 2013.

Additionally, Jennifer is a Certified Human Resources Leader, certified by HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association, although the precise date of their certification is not available.
