Dr. Stephanie Black graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2007. She worked in general and emergency practice until she discovered her love of shelter medicine, which led to further her education. Dr. Black graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters in veterinary medical science with a concentration in shelter medicine and a graduate certificate in veterinary forensics. She has extensive shelter experience, having worked for the Toronto Humane Society, Toronto Animal Services, and her mobile practice providing services to local animal shelters. She also is the Director of Continuing Education for the Ontario Shelter Medicine Association, which allows her to collaborate with other like-minded organizations and always strive to be at the forefront of the field.
