Dave Marver Joins GTX Medical as Chief Executive Officer
GTX Medical (GTX), a medical device company focusing on the rehabilitation of people with spinal cord injuries, has announced experienced medical technology leader Dave Marver will be its new Chief Executive Officer. GTX has bases in the Netherlands and Switzerland, and develops both implantable and non-invasive technologies to help those with spinal cord injuries to improve their quality of life, and Mr. Marver’s role will be to help the company to develop and commercialize its technologies. “It is a privilege to join the GTX team. I look forward to driving the advancement and eventual commercialization of these amazing technologies, starting with the U.S. clinical trial of our non-invasive therapy to improve movement in upper extremities later this year.” said Dave Marver. Mr. Marver has a long history working in medical technology in the United States and Europe, including 15 years in executive positions at Medtronic, and serving as CEO of Cardiac Science Corporation. He also co-founded a startup company in orthopedics, and another in sports technology that developed two TIME Magazine Inventions of the Year. “It is an achievement for GTX to bring a CEO of Dave’s caliber on board to lead the strong team we have built to date. Dave is an accomplished chief executive whose diverse experiences will help propel GTX to its next phase of growth,” said GTX Board Chairman Jan Öhrström.
