Software Quality Assurance Lead

The Role

We’ve got ambitious plans to become a leading global player in the wind energy space and as part of this process, we’re on the lookout for QA Lead. This role would suit an experienced QA professional with a background in agile web software development, who wants to move forward with their career in a small but global organisation within in the renewables industry.

What you’ll do

• Ensure the quality, reliability, and stability of all company software products.
• Lead and coordinate testing efforts for new features and regression across all software products.
• Develop extensive and detailed knowledge of our company products
• Work closely with the software team leads to ensure products are released on time.
• Co-ordinate with dev-ops to implement and maintain test systems in accordance with ISMS standards
• Allocate and plan testing resources in accordance with the release schedule
• Work with dev leads and product team to provide high-level testing efforts
• Maintain and improve the testing process within the software team; promote quality company-wide.
• Attend and participate in daily scrums, planning meetings, and retrospectives.
• Continue to develop the company's automated testing solution using Playwright and Appium.
• Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing existing automation systems to ensure they continue functioning correctly and to identify and correct bugs or malfunctions in software code
• Produce monthly stats/reports
• Report progress to software lead
• Train and mentor junior test engineers
• Perform regular 1-2-1’s, six months review and yearly reviews

What you’ll have

• Minimum 5 years + managing a small QA team
• Experience in working in a fast-paced agile environment
• Experience in front-end testing
• Experience in backend testing (API, Postgres or SQL)
• Experience with GIT
• Experience with Jira
• Experience with AWS

Ideally you’ll have

• Experience of engineering software
• Knowledge of the wind turbine industry
