Gilberto Pochet

Gilberto Pochet has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Gilberto started their career as a Technology Consultant at Hewlett-Packard in 2009, where they gained knowledge in SAP tool troubleshooting and analysis. After that, they worked as a Software Quality Assurance professional at Growth Acceleration Partners, where they trained in web implementations and black box testing.

In 2011, Gilberto joined Isthmus Costa Rica as a Software Quality Assurance Lead, creating test plans and test cases for regression testing. Gilberto then transitioned to the role of Data Scientist at Stayfilm S/A in 2013, where they developed Text Mining tools for social networking platforms and implemented language acceptance for English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

In 2015, Gilberto joined MICE Portal GmbH as a Data Scientist, utilizing machine learning techniques to create prototypes for sales and marketing applications. Gilberto then worked as a Freelance Data Scientist at Homebell in 2016, where they developed and maintained various stages of data science projects.

Gilberto's next role was as the Lead Data Scientist at X24Factory GmbH (Moebel24) in 2017, where they built and led the data science department. Gilberto also created and deployed new data science projects based on business needs, using deep learning approaches, machine learning, and data analysis.

From 2018 to 2022, Gilberto worked at SEEK as a Senior Data Scientist Full Stack, developing data science projects from proof of concept to production. Gilberto also measured the impact of these projects and built strong architectures for production.

Most recently, Gilberto worked at Mr Yum as a Senior/Lead Data Scientist, where they created a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers. Gilberto educated stakeholders on how data science projects impact the business and created metrics to estimate the success of these projects.

Currently, Gilberto is employed as a Senior Data Scientist Full Stack at oOh!, starting in 2023.

Gilberto Pochet holds a Master's degree in Information Engineering, which they obtained from the Universidade Federal do ABC, with studies completed from 2012 to 2014. Prior to their Master's degree, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the Universidad Internacional de las Américas, where they studied from 2007 to 2011.
