Jared Robert Keller

Jared Robert Keller has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Jared Robert started their career as an Assistant Exhibition Installer and Visitor Experience Assistant at the Art, Design & Architecture Museum, UC Santa Barbara, where they were responsible for designing and installing art exhibitions. Jared Robert also led tours for students and adults during fundraisers.

Jared then worked as a Science Explainer at the London Science Museum, where they gave presentations on scientific principles and engaged visitors in interactive exhibits and experiments.

Jared Robert later joined the National Maritime Museum as a Research Intern in Science Communication, where they studied the museum's public presentation and catalogued its archives.

Jared then transitioned into the field of research, working as a Researcher for Nesta. Jared Robert conducted in-depth research on the potential impact of automation and artificial intelligence (AI) on the economy, workforce, and medicine. Jared Robert performed literature reviews, conducted interviews, and prepared reports summarizing their findings.

At Dialogue by Design, Jared served as a Lead Qualitative Analyst, supervising a team of researchers in analyzing data from public consultations on infrastructure, government policy, the environment, and science perception. Jared Robert developed coding frames, trained junior analysts, and drafted research reports.

Currently, Jared works at the Open Data Institute as the Head of Research. Prior to this role, they held positions as a Principal Researcher, Senior Researcher, and Researcher, focusing on exploring the impact of emerging technologies on organizations. Their responsibilities included scoping research projects, conducting desk-based research, interviewing industry leaders, developing prototypes, and communicating research findings.

Jared Robert Keller completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in United States History with a minor in Music Theory from UC Santa Barbara in the period from 2004 to 2008. Jared Robert then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Science, Technology, Medicine & Society at UCL for the academic year 2011 to 2012. Subsequently, Jared completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Science Communication and History of Science at Imperial College London, spanning from 2014 to 2017.
