Job Description

OpenGov was founded as a platform company and has the ability to realign the GovTech industry due to its continued investments in its ERP platform and associated application suites - Budget & Planning, Citizen Services, Financials, Procurement, and Asset Management.

OpenGov seeks an experienced .NET Developer + well aware of scripting language for its Bank Reconciliation application within the Financials application suite. OpenGov Financials provides end-to-end accounting software. With the complete integration of all OpenGov Financials modules into the General Ledger, all your financial data is accurately and efficiently captured from the source without further manual entry. Interfaces are available to import journal entry data from many non-OpenGov Financials applications, further reducing manual data entry.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and release well-tested, efficient code • Develop new and improve existing product features using industry standard and well thought through design patterns • Write unit and integration tests to improve and maintain high code quality • Develop and implement highly responsive user interface components using react concepts. • Write code for Backend, UI and serivces/APIs driven applications • Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes. • Monitoring and improving front-end performance. • Document & demonstrate application changes.

Qualifications

• 10-12 + years of .NET (Microsoft) (latest versions and upgrades) experience • 10+ years experience on React, Node or similar scripting languages • 10-15+ years professional experience using Git or another popular source control system • 8+ years of experience building successful software products and on Cloud ecosystem (preferably AWS) • 7+ years of experience working cross-functionally, collaborating with designers, and coordinating with both product and program managers • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages. • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English • Full stack development experience with Node, relational databases is an added advantage. • Experience of RDBMS is a must, (Microsoft preferred) • Working knowledge of RESTful paradigms to use API built from our backend applications. • Owning requirements and working them from start to finish. • Knowledge of service oriented architecture, microservices, and distributed systems. • Experience working in Agile methodology, Github, and Jira. • Understands the product design lifecycle and demonstrates effective communication and collaboration. • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
