Caroline O'Dowd

Caroline O'Dowd has over 17 years of work experience in various roles in the human resources field. Caroline currently serves as the Chief People Officer at Openmind Networks, where they lead the company's HR operations. Openmind Networks is a technology company specializing in mobile messaging software for the telecoms industry.

Before joining Openmind Networks in 2022, Caroline worked at ORBCOMM, a global leader in the industrial Internet of Things (IoT). Caroline served as the Human Resources Director from August 2021 to March 2022 and previously as the Human Resources Manager from October 2017 to July 2021. ORBCOMM offers asset monitoring and control solutions across multiple industries.

Caroline also has experience as a Human Resources Manager at Blue Tree Systems - an ORBCOMM® Company from July 2015 to September 2017. Blue Tree Systems is a leader in enterprise fleet management software for the trucking and transportation industries.

Caroline worked as an HR Manager at Web Summit, described as one of the best technology conferences, from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, Caroline served as an HR Manager at KIXEYE, a gaming company, from September 2012 to April 2014. Caroline also held HR roles at Yahoo! Inc. from February 2010 to September 2012, PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2009, and Baker & McKenzie LLP, a law firm, in 2007.

Caroline started their career as a Trainee Solicitor at Matheson in 2004.

Caroline O'Dowd pursued an Advanced Diploma in Applied Employment Law from The Honorable Society of King's Inns in 2014-2015. Prior to that, they attended the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) where they obtained a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification in 2013. Caroline also completed the Professional Practice Course at the Law Society of Ireland. Caroline holds a Master's Degree, specifically an MSc in Human Resource Management, from the University of Galway. In addition, they have a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Law & French, which they obtained from Trinity College, Dublin and Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II).
