Sophie Gelsthorpe

Sophie Gelsthorpe has a diverse work experience in human resources and people management roles. Sophie started in 2007 as a Consultant at Innergy, where they focused on recruitment and also worked on consultancy and training projects. In 2008, they joined MWH as an HR Advisor, providing generalist HR support and gaining global experience during a six-month secondment to the company's Global Headquarters in Colorado. From 2010 to 2012, Sophie worked as an HR Manager at Win Technologies, where they supported over 200 employees and facilitated the company's global marketing efforts. Sophie then served as an HR Manager at Trustwave from 2012 to 2014, specializing in compliance, web security, and data management solutions. In 2014, they joined Bravura Solutions as a Senior HR Business Partner for the EMEA region. Since 2015, Sophie has been with OpenTable, where they have held several leadership positions, including Senior HR Manager, HR Director, VP of People & Culture, Chief People Officer, and currently, SVP of People & Culture. With OpenTable, they have contributed to the company's success in online restaurant reservations and ensuring personalized hospitality for guests.

Sophie Gelsthorpe received a BA in American Studies from The University of Manchester in 2005. Sophie then pursued an MA in Human Resource Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University, completing their degree in 2010.
