Bethany Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Bethany currently works at OPI as the Director and Head of Global Digital & Integrated Communications, where they oversee digital technology, eCommerce, social media, and influencer partnerships. Prior to this, they held positions at L'Oréal, where they served as the Director of Global Digital Innovation & Experience for Redken, Biolage & Matrix, and later as the Director of Digital Content and Commerce + Hair.com for the Professional Products Division. Bethany also has experience in eCommerce and eRetail management, working with brands such as Redken and Kerastase. Before joining L'Oréal, they worked at The Kraft Heinz Company as a Customer Category Manager, and at PureRED Integrated Marketing as an eCommerce Manager for Dollar General Corp. Bethany began their career at Alltech as a Marketing Assistant, focusing on consumer brands and education projects, and they also worked as an Account Services Coordinator at Meridian-Chiles. Bethany gained early marketing experience as a Marketing Intern at the Kentucky World Trade Center.

Bethany Johnson's education history includes receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Marketing, Communication, and Media Studies, from Georgetown College. Bethany attended the college from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, they pursued further education at the University of Louisville, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing, attending from 2010 to 2011.
