Afia Asare

Afia Asare serves as the Director of Human Resources for Opportunity International, where she is responsible for the management of the human resource functions for employees based in Africa and India.

In this role, Afia provides day-to-day HR leadership to the Africa- and India-based teams, including coaching managers on employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and talent acquisition; and ensures that consistent and sound HR management strategy and operations are aligned with Opportunity’s policies and practices. Afia excels at problem-solving in a dynamic environment.

Afia holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Computer Studies from Wisconsin International University in Ghana. She is a Certified Professional of the Society for Human Resources Management (US) and an Associate Member of The Chattered Institute of Human Resources Management Practitioners (Ghana).
