Tony Stuart has a diverse work experience in the banking and finance industry. Tony started their career in 1991 as a Mainframe Systems Programmer at ANZ, where they worked for seven years. Tony then transitioned to the role of Infrastructure Architect, where they developed and evolved technology strategies across multiple domains. In 2003, they became an Enterprise Architect at ANZ, tailoring and embedding the Enterprise Architecture Framework for use across all architecture levels.

In 2005, Stuart joined National Australia Bank (NAB) as a Senior Infrastructure Architect. Tony developed infrastructure and operational patterns for various application infrastructure domains, including messaging and high availability databases. Tony also played a lead role in designing the infrastructure solution for NAB's business process offshoring program.

At NAB, Stuart held several senior managerial positions. Tony was the Lead Business Architect, focusing on defining business capabilities, aligning project investment priorities, and incorporating non-traded businesses into the Target State Architecture. Tony also served as the Program Manager for the Offshore Banking Unit (OBU) Program, transforming NAB's OBU operating model and expanding the utilization of Australian-based OBU tax concessions. Additionally, they held the role of Chief Operating Officer for the Offshore Banking Unit, actively managing risks and enhancing the OBU's capabilities within NAB.

From 2013 to 2018, Stuart held various senior managerial roles at NAB, including Senior Manager Delivery & Governance, Digital & Innovation, and Senior Manager Channel Development. Tony was responsible for operational management and scaling of the Digital Delivery Centre, as well as delivering key business changes into Group Treasury.

Most recently, Stuart joined Opteon in 2019 as the Head of Portfolio Management.

Overall, Stuart has demonstrated a strong background in managing and leading complex projects in the banking and finance industry, with a focus on infrastructure, architecture, and business transformation.

Tony Stuart obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Massey University from 1988 to 1990. Tony further pursued their education at Massey University in 1991, receiving a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Mathematics. Later, in 2010 to 2011, Tony completed a Diploma in Project Management from the University of New England (AU).
