Kristian von Bengston

Chief Development Officer at Orbex Space

Kristian von Bengtson has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1999 with their role as CEO, founder, and designer at Smød Design 2.0. In 2003 they founded Goodmorning Technology, and in 2006 they worked as a Habitability Designer for NASA. Kristian also worked as an Assistant Teacher at the School of Architecture in Copenhagen in 2006, and as a Designer at Louise Campbell Studio in 2007. In 2008 they became a Subcontractor for NASA's Johnson Space Center, and also founded Copenhagen Suborbitals, a Danish based space company sending a man into space in a home-made space rocket. In 2009 they became a Speaker and Lecturer at Orators ApS, and in 2015 they were appointed Chief Development Officer at Orbital Express Launch Limited.

Kristian von Bengtson began their educational journey in 1990, when they attended Frederiksborg gymnasium and studied Mathematics until 1993. In 1995, they attended KADK - Kunstakademiets Arkitektskole and obtained an M.Arch in Architecture / Industrial design, which they completed in 2001. In 1998, they attended The New School to study Architecture, and in 2005, they obtained an M.Sc in Space Studies from the International Space University.
