Kamil B.

Head Of Architecture at ORCA Computing

Kamil B. has worked in various roles since 2013. Kamil began their career as an Adjunct Professor at Saint Mary's University in 2013, then moved on to become a Visiting Researcher at the University of Ottawa in 2015. In 2016, they took on the role of Quantum Cryptosecurity Advisor at CipherQ. In 2017, they joined Xanadu as an Architecture Group Lead and Developer, as well as a Quantum Computing and Optical Processing Scientist. Most recently, in 2020, they became the Head of Architecture at ORCA Computing.

Kamil B. has an extensive educational history. Kamil began their studies in 1997 at Charles University, where they earned a Master of Science in Physics and Mathematics in 2001. Kamil then returned to Charles University and completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Quantum Physics in 2005. After that, they held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in Quantum Information and Quantum Optics from 2005 to 2007. Finally, they completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at McGill University's School of Computer Science from 2007 to 2012, specializing in Quantum Information and Communication and High-Energy Physics.
