Genesa Poggioni has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Genesa started their career as a Materials Management professional at American Airlines from 1994 to 1999. Genesa then transitioned to Motorola, where they held various IT-related roles, including IT Systems Engineer, IT Quality Engineer/Project Manager, and Sr. IT Portfolio Manager. At Motorola, they were responsible for project management, back-end support, and managing the global image team.

Later, Genesa joined Apptio as a Senior Engagement Manager and then as a Director of Strategic Accounts. In these roles, they focused on customer success and sales, managing strategic accounts and collaborating with account representatives to achieve upsells and renewal protection.

After Apptio, Genesa joined Illumio as a Customer Success Advisor and later as a Senior Director of Customer Success, where they led a team of customer success professionals across various regions. Genesa implemented NPS and developed customer/operational metrics to improve efficiency and performance.

Most recently, Genesa worked at SIMBA Chain, where they served as the Vice President and Head of Customer Experience. Genesa was responsible for executive leadership in customer success, support, PMO, and partner alliances. Genesa drove strategic transformation programs and collaborated with cross-functional leadership to improve pre- and post-sales support and overall customer experience.

Currently, Genesa is working at Orca Security as the Vice President and Head of Customer Success.

Genesa Poggioni completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Computer and Information Sciences, General from the University of Phoenix between 2004 and 2010. Genesa has also obtained additional certifications such as the TBM Certified Executive (CTBME) from the Technology Business Management Council in 2017 and an edX Verified Certificate for Introduction to Blockchain from edX in 2023. Genesa has also acquired certifications in ITIL Foundations and Six Sigma Green Belt, although the specific institutions and dates are not mentioned.
