Jonathan Soffer has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Jonathan started their career as a Research Assistant at Denver Health in 2005. Jonathan then worked as a Project Assistant at Emory University's Center for Global Safe Water in 2008. In 2010, they worked as a Registered Nurse at UHS; Peachford Psychiatric Hospital. Jonathan then joined Emory Healthcare as a Clinical Nurse I, where they coordinated acute inpatient stroke and critical illness rehabilitation. In 2011, they joined Oregon Health and Science University as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, providing primary care for adult patients in an outpatient academic medical center. Jonathan also served as the Medical Director of Internal Medicine, overseeing clinical operations and regulatory compliance. In 2016, they became a Faculty member at Oregon Health and Science University School of Nursing. In 2017, they joined Mid-Columbia Medical Center as the Medical Director of Internal Medicine, where they developed various healthcare programs and initiatives. Recently, in 2021, they also served as a COVID19 Mass Vaccination Clinical Lead at Oregon Health and Science University.

Jonathan Soffer holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Oregon Health & Science University, which was obtained between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing at Emory University from 2008 to 2011, focusing on Adult Nurse Practitioner. Jonathan also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health and Chemistry from Beloit College, completed from 2004 to 2008. In addition, they possess certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurse Credentialing Center.
