Colleen al-Samarrie

Colleen Al-Samarrie is a Technical Research Analyst at the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) since 2022, where research is conducted to support technical reports and educational materials. Prior experience includes serving as a Faculty Research Assistant at Oregon State University from 2019 to 2022, managing fish laboratories and consulting on experimental designs. Colleen also worked as a Biology Lab Manager at Occidental College from 2016 to 2019, overseeing departmental technical equipment and budgets. Earlier roles include Research Lab Technician II at the Translational Imaging Center, University of Southern California, managing a zebrafish colony, and Laboratory Technician at the COMES Lab, Hatfield Marine Science Center, focusing on coastal toxicology studies. Colleen holds a Master of Science in Microbiology and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences, both from Oregon State University.
