Job description

We are on the hunt for a Chartered Accountant with a passion for excellence to play a pivotal role in providing accurate and timely financial reporting, owning month-end processes, contributing to process improvement initiatives, and demonstrating leadership within our finance team. 

Please note, this is a six-month fixed-term contract position.

What will you be doing?

  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy of statutory financial reports, meeting deadlines and ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Act as a key liaison with auditors, facilitating sign-offs within desired timelines.
  • Develop robust technical accounting papers to support financial reporting, ensuring a smooth audit process.
  • Manage general ledger functions and reconciliations, overseeing journal entries for prepayments, accruals, and cost allocations.
  • Provide direct guidance and leadership to our Assistant Financial Accountant.
  • Take ownership of tax incentives and similar initiatives, ensuring timely filing of proposals and claims.

What will you bring?

  • Experience: As a seasoned Chartered Accountant with 3+ years post-qualification experience, you bring a wealth of expertise in financial reporting, month-end processes and working closely with auditors. Ideally, you will also have previous experience leading a team.
  • Skills: Your strong technical accounting skills, proficiency with ERPs, and knowledge of IFRS set you apart.
  • Characteristics: You are a proactive problem-solver with a ‘get things done’ mindset. With excellent planning and organisational abilities, you consistently meet deadlines and maintain high standards of work. Finally, you have a natural ability to build strong relationships through effective communication.
