Teresa Mako

Teresa Mako is a skilled chemist with extensive experience in medicinal and discovery chemistry, currently serving as Scientist I in Medicinal Chemistry at Orum Therapeutics and as Scientist in Discovery Chemistry at Mersana Therapeutics. Previous roles include Scientist II at Zymergen and Senior Scientist I at C2Sense, Inc., where significant contributions were made to the development and optimization of COVID rapid tests and luminescent sensors. Teresa Mako holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of Rhode Island, complemented by a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Boston College and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Forensic Chemistry. Academic experience includes postdoctoral research at the University of Rhode Island and graduate research at Boston College and the University of Rhode Island, focusing on synthesis and characterization of various chemical compounds.
