Elizabeth Barnard

Elizabeth Barnard has over 25 years of experience in human resources. Elizabeth most recently worked at OSI Maritime Systems as the Vice President of People Operations, starting in 2019. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Human Resources at D-Wave Systems Inc. from 2013 to 2015. Elizabeth also has experience as a Director of Human Resources at Blast Radius from 2006 to 2013. Additionally, they worked as a Director of Human Resources at Inimex Pharmaceuticals from 2002 to 2005, an HR Manager at BC Research Inc from 2001 to 2003, an HR Generalist at Intercon Security from 1999 to 2001, and an HR Manager at Eaton's from 1993 to 1999. Elizabeth has expertise in various areas of HR, including HR strategy, compensation strategy, recruitment, payroll and benefits, talent management, and policy development.

Elizabeth Barnard (she/her) has a diverse educational background. Elizabeth earned a BFA in Theater Management from the University of Victoria between 1985 and 1989. Later, from 1998 to 2000, they pursued a certificate in HR Management with honors from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, specializing in Human Resources. Additionally, Elizabeth has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including the Meyers Briggs Type Indicator Step 1 & Step 2 Certification from Psychometrics Canada in 2017, the Workplace Mental Health Leadership Certificate from Queen's University in 2016, and the Certified Human Resources Professional certification from BCHRMA in 2003.
