Jonas Hinn

Jonas Hinn has over 18 years of work experience in software engineering, software development, and interaction design. Jonas began their career in 2003 as a Software Developer at ETH Zürich, where they designed and implemented various software components for the Information Management System for Humanitarian Mine Action (IMSMA). In 2005, they moved to Swissphoto AG as a Software Engineer, where they implemented QA process and managed continuous releases of a distributed geographic information system (GIS) for commercial aviation. In 2007, they joined Yahoo! Inc. as an Interaction Designer/UI Developer, designing and prototyping tools that allowed developers and publishers to utilize Yahoo's Application Platform. In 2008, they moved to doubleTwist Corp. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they implemented a wireless syncing app for Windows RT and built a reference implementation of an open source audio streaming app. In 2013, Jonas joined Samsung Accelerator as a Staff Software Engineer, where they were responsible for the development of the software stack of Coaster. In 2014, they moved to Samsung Electronics America as a Staff Software Engineer, where they implemented an Android library for Galaxy View apps shipped with device firmware and managed and lead an engineering team to build a wellness tracking platform. In 2017, they joined Uber as a Senior Software Engineer, building the core trip experience of the Uber app for riders. Jonas is currently employed at OSOM Products Inc. as the Director of Software Engineering and a Staff Software Engineer.

Jonas Hinn received a Master of Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University in 2007 and a BS in Computer Science from HSR University of Applied Sciences, Rapperswil in 2003.
