Hard Surface Artist at Osso VR

Michael Banks is a hard surface artist who currently works at Osso VR. Michael has previously worked as a 3D environment artist at Pantera Entertainment and as a lead 3D artist at Van Metre Companies.

Michael has over three years of experience working in the game industry. Michael is proficient in Unreal 4 and has a strong understanding of modern workflows. At Van Metre Companies, they led a team that created an online interactive software called BYOH. Michael also created realistic architectural visualizations of interiors, exteriors and multiple communities using procedural & PBR linear workflows.

Some of Michael's notable achievements include designing a modern building for Nationals Stadium in D.C. and rapidly prototyping & developing over 50+ existing furnished floor-plans. Michael is also responsible for creating many of the furniture pieces, cabinets, plumbing fixtures, and organic foliage used in the software.

Michael Banks has a Master's degree in Game and Interactive Media Design from SMU Guildhall and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Arts from The University of Kansas.

Michael Banks reports to Jeremy Hollingsworth, Lead Hard Surface Artist. They are on a team with Raphael Medina - Associate Hard Surface Artist, Stephen Witt - Associate Hard Surface Artist, and Anthony Pham - Associate Hard Surface Artist.
