Niels Fischer

Niels Fischer has extensive experience in strategy and business development. Niels is currently the Head of Strategy and M&A at Oterra since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Chr. Hansen A/S as the Director of Strategy & Business Development from April 2017 to April 2021. Niels also has a background in new business development, particularly in the biofuel and biochemicals sectors. Niels held various roles at Novozymes, including Head of New Business Development - Biofuel from April 2016 to March 2017, Senior Manager - New Business Development Biofuel from August 2013 to March 2016, and Manager - New Business Development Biochemicals from November 2010 to July 2013. Prior to their roles in strategy and business development, they worked as a Senior Business Consultant at Ernst & Young from July 2005 to April 2009.

Niels Fischer completed a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano from 2001 to 2005. Niels later pursued a Full-Time MBA program at Copenhagen Business School from 2009 to 2010.
