Malia Murphy is an accomplished researcher and educator with extensive experience in clinical research and program development. Currently serving as a Senior Clinical Research Associate at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute since April 2019, Malia contributes to the Obstetrics & Maternal Newborn Investigations Research Group. Prior roles include managing the Prevention and Wellness Centre and the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Centre at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and leading academic programs at the Ottawa Hospital mHealth Lab. Malia's academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Biomedical and Molecular Sciences from Queen's University, where contributions included the establishment of a biological sample repository for pre-eclampsia research and teaching roles in various relevant courses.
