Wen Sun

Wen Sun has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. Currently, they are serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Otter.ai since July 2022. Prior to this, Wen Sun worked at Otter.ai as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2018 to July 2022.

Before joining Otter.ai, Wen Sun was a Software Engineer at Uber from May 2015 to June 2018. During their time at Uber, they were responsible for identifying business needs, developing products, and evaluating impacts in various regions including China, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. They conducted user research, interviewed Uber officers, fleet partners, and drivers, and led a collaborative effort to provide a global cash solution. They designed and built backend services using Python and Golang to process large-scale data and provide real-time aggregations.

In 2012, Wen also had an exchange student experience at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. In terms of additional certifications, Wen obtained a certificate in "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" from Coursera in July 2014.
