Longchuan Huang, PhD

Longchuan Huang, PhD has an extensive work experience in the field of product development and research. Longchuan is currently working as the Technical Director of Product Development at OUAI since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Product Development at HAUS LABORATORIES from March 2021 to September 2021. Longchuan also worked as the Senior Manager of Product Development and R&D at Kate Somerville Skincare, LLC from April 2020 to February 2021.

Longchuan has been involved in academia as well, working as an Instructor at FIDM from 2019 to 2021. Longchuan has also served as a Product Development Consultant at ICE Cosmetics from September 2018 to March 2020. In 2017, they held the role of Associate Director of BD/PD at Dermala Inc. and later became a Rady Innovation Fellow at Nucelis LLC and Phenvogen LLC.

Before venturing into the industry, Longchuan gained research experience as a Research Chemist at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from September 2012 to September 2013. Longchuan also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania from January 2011 to August 2012.

Longchuan Huang, PhD has an extensive education history specializing in chemistry and business strategy. In 2005, they obtained a Master's degree in Chemistry from the Florida Institute of Technology. Subsequently, from 2007 to 2010, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry at the University of Florida. After completing their Ph.D., Longchuan Huang served as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania from 2011 to 2012. In order to round out their academic background with business acumen, they went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management, specializing in business strategy, entrepreneurship, and marketing, from 2016 to 2018. Overall, Longchuan Huang's education has equipped them with a strong foundation in both scientific research and business management.
