Lara Ramey

Lara Ramey has a diverse work experience in software development, primarily focusing on React engineering. Lara is currently working as the Lead React Engineer at OurFamilyWizard since February 2023. Before this role, they served as a Senior React Engineer at the same company from May 2022 to February 2023.

Prior to joining OurFamilyWizard, Lara worked at Meredith Corporation from November 2019 to August 2022. During their time there, they held the position of Software Development Engineer II and was responsible for the main architecture of the Cozi web app rewrite using React and JavaScript. Their contributions included developing major components of the Login, Signup, and Calendar features, as well as handling subscription flows and Stripe payment integration. Lara also played a key role in documenting and socializing the team's development and deployment processes.

Before Meredith Corporation, Lara worked at Cozi from September 2015 to February 2018. Lara initially joined as a Software Engineer Intern, where they focused on front-end development for the Cooking Light Diet web application. Lara implemented features like the shopping list and collaborated with the marketing department for A/B testing and event tracking. After their internship, they continued as a Software Engineer, where they implemented a UI refresh and introduced the Progress Tracker feature using Google Charts.

Lara Ramey completed their Associate's Degree in Web Development: Programming and Database Foundations from Cascadia College from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Science, Technology, and the Environment from the University of Washington, Bothell between 2007 and 2010. In 2018, they received a Certificate of Completion in React.js from React GraphQL Academy.
