VP Business Development at Outcast Foods

Miriam Zitner is the VP Business Development at Outcast Foods. Miriam was previously the CEO Climate Action Charter and a Consultant at Halifax Partnership from January 2018 to December 2021. Prior to that, they were the Director, Business Development and Client Service at Stewart McKelvey from April 2013 to January 2018 where they were responsible for the firm's client enrichment and business development endeavours. Miriam has also worked as a Senior Counsellor (Account Director) at Cohn & Wolfe from January 2005 to January 2008 where they provided strategic counsel to the Information Technology Association of Canada and collaborated on employee reviews, team resource allocation, new business development, and media events, product launches and thought leadership campaigns. Miriam is a panelist of "Women in Business" (2007) and the first C&W employee granted the privilege of managing accounts remotely, from Nova Scotia.

Miriam Zitner holds a public relations degree from Mount Saint Vincent University. Miriam also took a course on leading innovation at Stanford University School of Engineering. In addition, they have a certification from Fire Inside in peer leadership and from IDEO U in design thinking. Miriam also has a certificate from Cornell University in systems thinking. Finally, they are certified in the change management process according to Prosci methodologies and tools.
