Dan Herd's work experience begins in 2003 as a Business Development Representative at Gartner, where they secured $500k in new business and analyzed economic data to develop sales strategies. Dan then joined Aon Investment Consulting in 2004, serving as an Account Manager and overseeing $10M in insurance premiums, as well as an Investment Analyst responsible for performance analysis and manager searches. In 2007, Dan moved to FactSet (StreetAccount) as a Senior Public Policy Analyst, providing real-time market commentary and analyzing the impact of legislation on stocks. Dan joined Gartner again in 2010 as the Public Policy and Government Affairs Director, where they created a role advising executives on legislative and regulatory issues. Dan then held various leadership positions at Gartner, including Senior Executive Advisor, Practice Leader and Head of Advisory, APAC, and Vice President, Advisory. During these roles, they led global teams, provided peer-based solutions to executive clients, and led the APAC Finance, Assurance, and Operations practice to growth and increased client retention. In 2021, Dan joined WorkBoard Inc. as the Regional Vice President for Strategic Accounts and later took on the role of Regional Vice President for the Southeast, where they led new business and expansion efforts and coached the sales team. Dan also led the development of strategic account expansion playbooks and achieved significant sales team growth. In 2022, Dan joined Outreach as the Regional Vice President for Customer Success, and in 2023, they joined Sales Impact Academy as a Customer Success Coach. Finally, Dan is also an Executive Member at Pavilion since 2021.

Dan Herd has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Finance and Political Science from the UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business. Dan also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Finance from the Mercer University Stetson-Hatcher School of Business.

In terms of additional certifications, Dan Herd obtained the Chief Customer Officer (CCO) School certification from Pavilion in August 2022. Dan also completed the RevOps School certification from Pavilion in April 2022. Additionally, they hold the certification of Certified OKR Coach from WorkBoard Inc., obtained in August 2021.
