Tomas Vlach

Tomas Vlach has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Tomas started their career in 2005 as a Programmer/Analyst at Smartdata, where they designed and developed mobile applications on the .NET Compact framework. Tomas then moved on to Urbana Technologies as a Technical Consultant and Database Specialist before joining Deloitte as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they designed and developed business applications on the .NET platform.

In 2011, Tomas joined brandz friendz as a Development Lead, leading a team responsible for designing and developing Facebook applications and games. Shortly after, they joined Infor as a Development Manager and Principal Software Engineer, leading an agile team focused on the design and implementation of a mobile backend as a service platform. Tomas was responsible for system integration, RESTful interface design, and cloud-based production environment architecture.

Tomas then worked at Demonware (Activision) as a Software Development Team Lead for a brief period before joining Atlassian as a Software Development Team Lead. At Atlassian, they led a cross-functional agile team focused on product integration and improving the user experience of customers using multiple Atlassian products together.

In 2020, Tomas worked as a Software Engineer at epilot GmbH, where they designed and implemented the transition from a monolithic system to a service-oriented design using Amazon AWS and serverless principles. Tomas is currently working as an Engineering Manager at Outreach, focusing on the search platform and quality frameworks.

Tomas Vlach attended Gymnasium U Libenskeho zamku from 2000 to 2004, where they studied Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended Zakladni skola Dobrichovice, although the specific dates and field of study are unknown.
