Janelle Gale is Vice President of Human Resources at Meta. In this role, she leads the teams that partner with the business to grow and engage Meta’s 70,000 + employees across more than 80 locations in 30+ countries, evolve the organization design and practices, and create and implement people programs as Meta rapidly scales. She is responsible for the HR Business Partner, Diversity, Talent Management, Learning & Development, and Employee Relations functions.
Janelle joined Meta in 2012 after nine years at Levi Strauss & Company, where she held a variety of HR roles including organization and leadership development, HR Business Partner, and head of Human Resources for the Levi’s® apparel brand.
Prior to joining Levi’s®, Janelle was a principal consultant at IBM Business Consulting Services in their organization and change practice.
In addition to the OBUSA Board of Directors, Janelle currently serves on the board of Sughar Foundation, an organization focused on teaching life, business, and entrepreneurial skills to rural Pakistani women and girls. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. She lives in San Carlos, California with her husband and two children.
