Halea Picha

Halea Picha is an experienced educator currently serving as an 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher and Girl's Soccer Coach at Albert Lea Area Schools since June 2018. Halea has also held various roles at Owatonna Public Schools since June 2015, including Homebound Teacher and Educational Assistant, focusing on instruction and relationship-building with students. Previous experience includes substituting across all grade levels at West Fargo Public Schools, instructing youth programs at Courts Plus Fitness Center, tutoring at the AVID Center, and assisting school-age students at the YMCA of the USA. Halea holds a Bachelor's of Science in Social Science Education from North Dakota State University and two Master's degrees in Special Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead, including a minor/endorsement in Special Education.
