Bassem Khalifa

Bassem Khalifa has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Bassem currently holds the position of Impact Lead at OX Delivers since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Development Consultant for freelance projects starting from April 2019. From April to August 2021, Bassem served as the Food Processing Manager at rdna Store. Bassem also held the role of Quality and Transparency Leader at rdna Store from December 2020 to March 2021.

Bassem's entrepreneurial ventures include being a Co-founder and Managing Partner of ma7ali, a grocery and deli store focused on promoting local, healthy, sustainable food. Bassem co-founded Ma7sool Productions, an independent production company, where they served as the Executive Producer from March 2013 to March 2016.

Bassem's educational background includes being a Graduate Student at Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies from September 2010 to April 2013. Additionally, they have experience in academic research as a Researcher in 2012.

Bassem gained practical experience as a Summer Intern at Tri Ocean Carbon and Renewables in June and July 2011. Bassem also worked as a Sustainability Metrics Research Assistant at the Office of Sustainability at Yale from September 2010 to May 2011.

In the early stages of their career, Bassem held positions at the Canadian International Development Agency. Bassem worked as a Capacity Development Specialist from January 2009 to July 2010 and as a Capacity Development Coordinator from October 2007 to December 2008.

Bassem Khalifa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and International Relations from The American University in Cairo in 1999 to 2004. In 2008, they completed a certificate program in the Small Business Advisor's Program at The American University in Cairo. From 2010 to 2012, Bassem attended Yale University and earned a Master of Environmental Management degree, specializing in Political Ecology, Anthropology of Development, and Science and Technology Studies.
