Jason Bracken is a research associate at Miami University since 2015, specializing in biogeography, ecophysiology, and genetics. As a graduate researcher, Bracken has also served as a teaching assistant in both the Biology and Education Departments, instructing various biology and teacher education labs. In addition to academic roles, Bracken is an elected member of the Oxford City Council and holds a position as a co-principal investigator with the U.S. Geological Survey, focusing on habitat restoration for imperiled flatwoods salamanders. Previous experience includes roles at Earlham College, Save the Redwoods League, Tyndall Air Force Base, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Bracken's educational background includes a PhD in Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology, along with multiple master's degrees in Environmental Science and Geoscience, and a bachelor's degree in Philosophy.
