Rik Armitage

Rik Armitage has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Rik'smost recent position is as the Head of Corporate Development at Oxford Instruments, where they have been since 2020. Prior to this, Armitage worked as a Freelance Consultant from 2018 to 2020. Rik also served as the Business Development Director at Chemring Group plc from 2006 to 2018, where they led the company's transformation and achieved significant growth. Armitage held various positions at Arthur D. Little from 2003 to 2005 and from 1996 to 2002, including the role of Head of TIM practice. Rik was also a Principal at Solving aem from 2002 to 2004. Furthermore, Armitage worked as a Freelance consultant in 1995 and as an Investment Manager at Korda & Company from 1990 to 1994. Rik began their career as a Project Engineer at British Aerospace from 1988 to 1990, where they were involved in managing the Eurofighter development program.

Rik Armitage has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cranfield School of Management (1995-1996). Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Cambridge (1983-1987) and a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Manufacturing Engineering from the same university (1987-1988).
