Paul Moody

Senior Scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies

Paul Moody has over 15 years of work experience in various scientific and research positions. Paul currently works at Oxford Nanopore Technologies as a Senior Scientist, a role they have held since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Cardiff University, focusing on improving internalization and lysosomal delivery of Antibody:Receptor complexes. Before that, they were a PhD student at University College London, where their research included selective dual-modification of proteins and novel bioconjugation methods. Paul also gained experience in protein crystallography during a rotation at Birkbeck, University of London, and in computational biology during a rotation at the National Institute of Medical Research. Additionally, Paul has completed an internship in clinical biochemistry at James Cook University Hospital.

Paul Moody obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry (Molecular and Cellular) from the University of Oxford, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational, Structural, and Chemical Biology at UCL from 2009 to 2013.
