Charmaine Theron

Charmaine Theron is a knowledgeable research scientist specializing in field deployment, currently employed at Oxitec Ltd since January 2022. Prior to this position, Charmaine served as a senior entomologist at AgriProtein from December 2018 to July 2020 and gained valuable experience as an entomology student at Citrus Research International from June 2014 to March 2018. Charmaine holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Entomology and a Master’s Degree in Entomology, both from the University of Pretoria, with the doctoral degree earned between 2014 and 2018, and the master's degree completed from 2011 to 2014.
