Jimmy Henderson’s entire career has focused on the numbers behind healthcare. His more than 20 years of healthcare data analysis have prepared him for his current role as P3’s Vice President of Analytics, where he is building the data systems that will allow our physicians to apply the best predictive analytics when caring for our community’s health.
Prior to P3, Henderson led multiple teams who built healthcare data collection and analysis systems, reporting key performance indicators to assist the senior management at DaVita HealthCare Partners (DHCP) in managing the clinical, operational and financial aspects of the company. During his tenure with DHCP, he managed the development of an enterprise-wide data warehouse, deployed several management dashboards, and applications and production reports. He also partnered with other business areas to determine business requirements for special projects related to HEDIS, Medicare risk adjustment, patient experience, contracting and financial incentives.
Drawn to the healthcare industry, Henderson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in health care administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Starting as an intern, he rose through the ranks at Sierra Health Services, eventually becoming their manager of health informatics and Medicare strategies. He went on to Optum Insight (formerly Igenix) where he managed data warehouses and oversaw the design of a departmental data mart for Medicare and Medicaid reporting and analysis.
When he’s not immersed in his work, you can usually find him on the basketball court or playing guitar with his band.
