Christopher Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Christopher is the Founder of Moral Healthcare, Inc., a role they have held since April 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the Medical Director at PA Health & Wellness starting in February 2019. Christopher also served as an Adjunct Faculty at Jefferson College of Population Health from June 2012 onwards. Christopher previously worked as the State Director for Doctors for America and as a Member at Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative. Christopher is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Christopher has also held various roles at the American College of Chest Physicians, including Chair and Faculty Presenter. Christopher Hughes has an MD degree in Medicine from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), which they obtained from 1980 to 1984. Christopher also has a BS-MD degree in Pre-med from Youngstown State University, which they obtained from 1978 to 1980. In terms of further education, they have taken some coursework in Business Administration at both the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh from 1998 to 2000, and the California University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Business from 1997 to 1998. Christopher has also completed various certificate programs, including Graduate Certificate in Health Policy from Jefferson Health in 2011-2012, a Campaign School Certificate from AMPAC Campaign School in 2008, a Mediation Training Certificate from The Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Federal Bar Association in 2008, and a Medical Informatics National Library of Medicine/Marine Biological Institute Course Fellow Certificate from Marine Biological Laboratory, Woods Hole, MA in 2002. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Hospice and Palliative Medicine in 2012, Critical Care Medicine in 2010 (recertification), and Internal Medicine in 1988 from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
