James W. Harris

Chief Financial Officer at Pacific Drilling

James W. Harris was named senior vice president and chief financial officer in July 2019, responsible for overseeing company-wide administrative, financial and risk management operational strategy to ensure Pacific Drilling’s continuously sound financial structure.

Prior to joining Pacific Drilling, Harris served Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. in various financial and management roles from December 2005 until April 2019; including as chief financial officer, executive vice president - Drilling & Subsea and advisor. Prior to that, Harris served VeriCenter, Inc. from January 2004 to November 2005 as vice president and controller and general manager of the company’s AppSite Hosting business unit. From August 1999 to December 2003, Harris served in various roles for Enron Energy Services, including vice president - Tax, Finance and Contractor. From February 1994 to May 1999, Harris served Baker Hughes Incorporated, his last position being vice president - Tax and Controller. And from 1985 to 1994, Harris served PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, his last position as senior tax manager.

Harris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Masters in Accounting from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Rice University.
