Keith Lechien

Keith LeChien is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of science and technology. Currently serving as the Founder and CTO of Pacific Fusion since June 2023, Keith has held significant roles including Principal Research Scientist and Tech Lead at X, the moonshot factory from July 2022 to May 2023, and Member of Technical Staff at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory from September 2016 to July 2022. Notable leadership experience includes a position as Director of Inertial Confinement Fusion at the National Nuclear Security Administration from May 2010 to September 2016, as well as serving as a Science Advisor for the U.S. Senate Energy and Water Development Subcommittee on Appropriations during 2013. Keith's career also includes a role as Principal Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories from January 2006 to April 2010. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrodynamics and Pulsed Power Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Keith possesses a strong academic foundation to complement a robust professional trajectory.
