Deborah Carlin

Nature-based Solutions Research Associate at Pacific Institute

Deborah Carlin is an experienced environmental scientist and educator currently serving as an Assistant Consultant in the Natural Resources Group at WSP USA since March 2023. Deborah conducts field activities related to wetland delineation and species monitoring, while also supporting environmental permitting processes for diverse clients. Concurrently, Deborah works as a Flood Adaptation Policy Research Assistant at Cornell University, focusing on flood policies to identify accessibility gaps for low-income housing residents. As a Nature-Based Solutions Research Associate with the Pacific Institute, Deborah contributes to projects aimed at advancing corporate climate action through multi-stage benefit forecasting and valuation. Previous roles include Program Manager at City Parks Foundation, where Deborah managed environmental education initiatives, and Assistant Educator at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Deborah holds two degrees from Muhlenberg College, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine/Studio Arts, as well as a Master of Professional Studies in Natural Resources from Cornell University.
